Denise Ward: Experienced Physiotherapist
Denise completed a Bachelor of Health Science degree from the University of Western Ontario in 2007; and then continued her education at McMaster University completing a Master of Science degree in Physiotherapy in 2009. In finishing her degree, she also had the opportunity to complete further training in Kaimuki, Hawaii, providing physiotherapy services, as well as assisting with the delivery of an injury prevention program for female youth soccer athletes.
Denise is registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. She has a keen interest in continuing education, and has completed multiple post-graduate courses. She has attained multiple certificates, some of which include the McKenzie Method (Part A), Muscle Energy Techniques from Alternative Healthcare Solutions, and Strain-Counterstrain from the Connecticut School of Integrated Manual Therapy. Other courses have included evidence-based assessment and treatment for the spine, sacroiliac joint and pelvis, breast cancer rehabilitation, as well as sport specific activities such as running, golf, and figure skating.

Denise is passionate about helping her patients recover from their injury, as well as assisting in injury prevention and health promotion.
She works with her patients providing treatment which includes education regarding injury and recovery, as well as manual therapy, and specifically tailored active exercise. Denise assists her patients to achieve their goals, and return to their sports, hobbies and activities.
Denise has previously spent time volunteering on the medical team at various Skate Canada events including Skate Canada International, and the Canadian and World Figure Skating Championships. She can currently be found keeping active with skiing, mountain biking, hiking, and attempting to garden.
